CHAI SPICED BREW CHOC

SERVES 4

PREP TIME: 10 MINS

COOK TIME: 10 MINS

Quick, delicious and just a little bit naughty, try this on for size any day of the week but sort of comforting and delicious on a lazy weekend, whatever they are! You can store the premade syrup in the fridge, then simply add it to hot milk or cold milk on demand…on demand…sounds like my house…or maybe even this blog?? Yes, I am talking to you!

NEED:

1 cinnamon stick, broken in 2

1 tablespoon white peppercorns

10 cardamom pods

1 tablespoon fennel seeds

5 cloves

1 vanilla bean, broken in 2

40 grams fresh ginger, sliced

50 grams Brew Choc granules

150 grams honey or coconut sugar

1.2 litre water

1 - 2 cups hot milk

DO:

Place everything except milk into a large saucepan and bring to a low simmer over a medium heat.

Let mixture steep for around 10 minutes. Strain or press and add hot milk to serve. Stir through and reheat if necessary.

Add approximately half syrup to hot frothy milk and garnished with a few edible flowers.

Serve immediately or store spiced syrup in fridge until use.
